Nine hikers started with the Upper Octoraro Loop along the creek (yellow trail) and we were treated with several bald eagle sightings. After that we took the Lower Octoraro Loop (orange trail) which includes a bit of a climb up to a picnic pavilion built as an Eagle Scout project. Some snacks and beverages were shared as well as plenty of stories of past hikes. We finished back at the parking area with the hiking distance five miles total. The Glenroy Preserve contains 577 acres of bountiful nature and is free to the public, so be sure to come visit it!
