Gettysburg National Military Park – 7/25/26
Our visit started at the Visitor Center with a morning hike to General Meade’s headquarters, the High Water Mark and the Pennsylvania Monument. After some lunch we tackled the trails starting at Devils Den and going up Round Top and then Little Round Top. Stateline Woods Preserve – 6/20/2026
Stateline Woods Preserve is located at 950 Merrybell Lane, Kennett Square, PA. The preserve has 86 acres and 4 miles of trails. It was a great day for a hike as the weather was warm and sunny, and the trail passed through woodlands, meadow, and wetlands. Refreshments were found afterwardsmat the Creamery in Kennett Square just a few miles away.

Property Committee Dates
Property Committee Meeting will be Tuesday, August 3rd at 7:30 pm in the DSB Library. Property Clean-up date is Saturday, August 15th at 8:30 am.

Oktoberfest Volunteer Sign ups
Oktoberfest is almost here! We need your help! Please sign-up with one of the Committee Chairpersons listed below to work during Oktoberfest. We also need help setting up before the festival and breaking down the festival after the event.

Susquehanna Greenways – 4/18/26
We met at the Conowingo Fisherman’s Park and hiked along the Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenways Trail to Deer Creek and back. The Virginia Bluebells were in full display and many other plants were identified along the way. Hopkins Farm Brewery provided the needed refreshments afterwards.

Glenroy Preserve – 3/28/26
Nine hikers started with the Upper Octoraro Loop along the creek (yellow trail) and we were treated with several bald eagle sightings. After that we took the Lower Octoraro Loop (orange trail) which includes a bit of a climb up to a picnic pavilion built as an Eagle Scout project. Some snacks and beverages were shared as well as plenty of stories of past hikes.…
